Ghana is a safe and stable democratic country. Considered, “Africa for Beginners”, Ghanaians are infamous for their hospitality and friendliness. It’s common for participants to state they feel safer in Ghana than in many other locations around the world.

We work in under-resourced RESILIENT communities. They are rightly concerned about the future of theses communities. By sharing their stories you help shed light on an issue of global significance which is also advocacy for more resources to support these communities

A carefully screened group will share rooms in private group housing. AOH group housing is secured and used by only staff and participants. To further ensure participant safety outside guests and friends that participants make during their time in the country are not allowed to enter the premises. We also request that participants not disclose their housing location.

Health services in Ghana are modern, accessible and affordable. Participant health and safety is our highest priority. AOH 24-hour staff support means you can have peace of mind that you’ll get the services you need when you need them.

AOH Global Programs do not offer academic credit. However past participants received “independent study” credit through their own academic institutions. We are keen to support participants with any necessary paperwork they may need to achieve credit for this program.
