Welcome to Benin

A Journey into West African Ancestry and Spirit

Benin serves as a vital center for understanding the profound historical and spiritual foundations of West Africa. At Africa Our Home (AOH), we facilitate deep engagement with a nation that has meticulously preserved its royal legacies and ancestral traditions. From the Ancient City of Abomey—the seat of the Dahomey Kingdom—to the Royal Palaces of Porto-Novo, participants analyze the architectural and political history of a powerful pre-colonial era.

Central to the Beninese experience is a respectful exploration of the Voodoo faith, the country's national religion. Through guided dialogue and participation in traditional rituals, we provide a platform for participants to understand the complex spiritual beliefs that continue to shape the social fabric of the region. Join us to bridge the gap between history and the modern-day resilience of the Beninese people.
